The terms for using GLS Academy.
Who we are
GLS Academy, a registered educational enterprise (Corporate Affairs Commission), teaches children live online. Registering or using the portal means you agree to these terms. Questions go to [email protected].
Your account
A parent or guardian registers the family and keeps each child's details correct. Keep your password private, and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
Each child
The academy approves each child before lessons start. Each child signs in with a student ID and password from the academy, not an email address.
Lessons
Lessons are live online and are not recorded. The academy pairs each child with a tutor and agrees the weekly times with you. The academy may change a tutor or a time, and tells you when it does. If a lesson has to be missed, tell the tutor as early as you can.
Records and reports
Tutors write a record after every lesson, and the month's records become the report you see in the portal.
Fees
Fees are per subject, agreed in writing with the office before lessons start. Payment is arranged directly with the office, not through the site.
What you upload
Work and files you upload stay yours. You allow the academy to keep them and to show them to the child's tutor and the academy's staff. Upload only what you have the right to share.
Using the portal fairly
Do not share a login, sign in as someone else, or try to reach parts of the portal that are not yours. The academy may close an account that breaks these terms.
Closing an account
Close your account at any time from Settings. Sign-in ends straight away for you and each child. Lesson records are kept for six months, then deleted.

When these terms change, the new version appears here with its date.
