Miss Chinelo Agina
I help learners who find Mathematics and Science challenging discover that they are capable of understanding more than they think. With over nine years of teaching experience, a BSc in Biochemistry, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education, and Cambridge teaching expertise in Primary and Secondary Mathematics and Science, I bring together strong subject knowledge, curriculum understanding and a practical approach to developing learners. What matters to me is not just whether a child gets an answer right, but whether they understand why it is right and can apply that understanding independently. I pay attention to the gaps that are often overlooked, the misconceptions behind repeated mistakes, and the reasoning a learner may struggle to express. My goal is to help every learner build a stronger foundation, think with greater clarity and approach challenging questions with confidence.
How I teach
I want every learner to feel safe enough to say, “I do not understand,” without feeling embarrassed. I take time to discover where the difficulty lies, break challenging concepts into manageable steps, and help learners experience the joy of finally understanding something that once felt impossible. I celebrate progress, not just correct answers, and encourage learners to question, reason and try again when they make mistakes. My aim is for every child to leave my lessons feeling understood, more confident and ready to tackle the next challenge.
