How I teach

Evelyn takes time to understand what each student already knows and where they need support. When a student struggles with a topic, she looks beyond the immediate problem to identify any gaps in earlier learning. She then breaks concepts down into manageable steps, uses clear examples and gives students opportunities to practice until they understand.

Her lessons encourage students to ask questions, learn from mistakes and think through problems independently. Rather than focusing only on completing assignments or getting the right answers, she aims to help students understand the reasoning behind their work and develop skills they can use beyond the lesson.
