How I teach

I believe every child can make progress when teaching responds to their individual needs. I begin by understanding each learner’s current level, strengths and areas where they need support. This helps me set clear learning goals and plan lessons that build on what they already know while introducing appropriate challenges.

In my lessons, I break concepts into manageable steps and use clear explanations, worked examples and guided practice to develop understanding. I encourage learners to ask questions, explain their thinking and learn from mistakes. As their confidence grows, I gradually give them more opportunities to work independently and apply their knowledge.

I use interactive digital resources, visual aids and carefully selected activities to make online lessons engaging and purposeful. I check understanding throughout each session, provide constructive feedback and adjust my approach when a learner needs more support or is ready to move ahead.

My aim is to help children achieve more than a correct answer. I want them to understand how they reached it, develop confidence in their abilities and become increasingly independent learners.
