Ms Mariam Omowunmi Nasiru
I am Mariam Omowunmi Nasiru, a Mathematics educator with over six years of teaching experience across both physical and online learning environments. I hold an NCE and a B.Sc.Ed in Mathematics Education, with experience supporting learners of different abilities and academic backgrounds. I am passionate about making Mathematics easier to understand and creating a positive learning experience where students feel supported, encouraged and confident in their abilities. I believe every learner can make meaningful progress with the right guidance and approach.
How I teach
My teaching approach is student-centred, engaging and tailored to each learner's individual needs. I recognise that students learn at different paces, so I take time to understand their strengths and areas for improvement. I break down mathematical concepts into simple, manageable steps, using clear explanations and relatable examples to make learning easier and more meaningful.
I encourage active participation through interactive learning, guided practice, and questioning. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes and learning from them. Through regular practice and constructive feedback, I help students strengthen their understanding, develop problem-solving skills and become more confident and independent learners.
