I am a passionate and dedicated Educator with over 7 years of teaching experience, specialising in early literacy, basic phonics, and foundational mathematics for Reception and Kindergarten children. I am committed to helping young learners develop essential reading skills, recognise letter sounds, blend simple words, and build confidence in early mathematics. My goal is to nurture a love for learning while providing children with a strong foundation for future academic success.
How I teach
My teaching approach is fun, engaging, and child-centered. I create interactive lessons that help Reception and Kindergarten children develop early reading skills through letter recognition, phonics, letter sounds, blending, segmenting, and reading simple words and sentences. I use songs, storytelling, games, and colourful learning resources to make lessons enjoyable and meaningful.
For early mathematics, I focus on building strong foundations in number recognition, counting, number formation, number bonds, patterns, and simple addition and subtraction. I understand that every child learns at a different pace, so I tailor my lessons to each child's needs and abilities, providing encouragement and support to help them grow in confidence and become independent learners.
