I am a passionate and dedicated English educator specialising in English Language, Literature in English, and English Literature. My teaching philosophy centres on empowering learners of diverse abilities to reach their full potential while making learning engaging, enjoyable, and rewarding. With extensive experience teaching across the **AQA, Cambridge International Education (CIE), Pearson Edexcel, WJEC, and Eduqas GCSE and IGCSE curricula**, I tailor my lessons to meet individual learning needs, build confidence, and develop essential skills in reading, writing, literary analysis, and critical thinking. How I teach
My student-centred lessons combine modelling, clear success criteria, writing frames, and self-evaluation to help students recognise the qualities of effective writing and identify areas for improvement. I use personalised feedback, redrafting, exam mark schemes, and examiner reports to develop strong analytical and examination skills. Through visual aids, live mind maps, videos, and interactive activities, I make learning engaging and accessible. I also stay up to date with changes to examination specifications to ensure my students receive relevant, focused exam preparation.
