Mr Raphael Chidera Orjiekwe
I'm Ralph, an education professional based in Lagos, completed my PGDE at Adekunle Ajasin University. I tutor maths and science from Year 3 to Year 9, and I prepare students for 11+ and SATs. I also coach chess and develop curriculum and exam materials. I train fellow teachers too, which keeps my methods current and practical. I'm patient, organised, and committed to helping every student make real progress.
How I teach
I start by finding out where your child actually is, not where the syllabus says they should be. In the first sessions I check for gaps in maths and science, then build lessons around them so no time is wasted on what they already know. Every topic is broken into small steps, explained simply, and practised until it sticks.
For 11+ and SATs, exam-style practice is part of every plan, and I teach children how to think through a problem, not just memorise answers. In chess, I build the same habits: planning ahead, checking before moving, and learning from every game. You'll get regular progress updates.
