I am a passionate and experienced Maths and Science tutor with over five years of teaching experience, supporting learners across different age groups and curricula. I hold an Bachelor's degree in Chemistry Education, alongside professional training in teaching and educational technology. I specialise in helping learners understand challenging concepts, strengthen foundational skills, and develop the confidence to approach problems independently. I believe every child can make meaningful progress when given the right guidance, encouragement, and learning environment.
How I teach
My teaching approach is learner-centred, engaging, and tailored to each child's individual needs. In Mathematics, I break down complex topics into simple, manageable steps, using worked examples, visual aids, real-life situations, and guided practice to help learners understand not just what to do, but why it works. In Science, I make abstract concepts easier to understand through illustrations, practical examples, interactive simulations, and relatable explanations.
I create a supportive learning environment where children feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and expressing what they do not understand. I regularly assess progress, identify learning gaps, and adapt my lessons accordingly. My goal is to help every learner become a confident, independent thinker who can apply their knowledge beyond the classroom.
